Country Gardens/Reading

This sizeable Edwardian property has a magnificent and very mature woodland garden. The new owners also inherited crumbling balustraded terraces ill fitted to the scale of the property. It required a complete re-design and re-build around the house. Two new and more proportionate terraces were added and a third retained. I replanted with new herbaceous and mixed beds to complement the dry stone walls and volume of the house, and ensured that steps to access all parts of the garden were designed also to open vistas and direct the eye.
